Motorola is holding an event in China on August 15 where it will apparently unveil a new Moto P30 lineup of phones that will include the Moto P30, P30 Note and P30 Play. While it was previously thought that the company will bring the Moto Z3 and Motorola One Power, the P30-series is now looking more likely after new promotional material was posted online and the devices were spotted on the official website alongside their prices. The promo images are allegedly of the Moto P30 and the design of the phone is quite unlike what we have come to expect from Motorola. As per the official listing spotted by AndroidPure, the Moto P30 and P30 Note will be priced starting at CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 20,000) while the P30 Play will cost CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 18,300). There is no word yet on whether Motorola is planning to bring the Moto P30 phones outside China. Renders and promo images of the phones suggest they will bring an edge-to-edge notched display along with a dual rear camera setup. The most notable aspect about the Moto P30 is its gradient colour design on the back which looks pretty similar to the Aurora colours on Huawei P20 or Honor 10. In addition to Aurora, the P30 will come in Ice Jade White and Bright Black colours as well, as per a listing spotted on the official site. The other big highlight is a vertical dual rear camera setup that looks similar to the iPhone X. This again looks quite different compared to the circular dial-like camera design on past Moto phone. Lastly, it looks as though Motorola will embed the fingerprint sensor in the Moto logo on the back.advertisementAs for the specs, the promo materials reveal the P30 will be offered with 6GB of RAM with a choice of either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The P30 Note will come in 4GB and 6GB RAM options while the Moto P30 Play will come in only one option with 4GB of RAM. Another teaser hints at a 5,000mAh battery, which we assume will be offered with the Moto P30 Note model.Additionally, the Moto P30 will sport a 6.2-inch display with an octa-core processor. Cameras on board may include a 16MP + 5MP with f/1.8 aperture, and an 8-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The cameras will get some AI and AR support as well. The device will house a 3,000mAh battery with no mention of fast charging support. We should no more on August 15 if the devices are indeed going to be unveiled in China.
