Swim club pays tribute to dear friend and volunteer Aisling O’Connor

first_imgThe Ballyshannon Marlins Swim Club is this week mourning the loss of popular former club member Aisling O’Connor.Aisling (21), from Ballyshannon, passed away on Monday following a tragic kayaking accident on Saturday in Kerry.Marlins SC was just one of the many local groups where the young science student made her mark. A bright young woman who touched many lives, she is being fondly remembered amidst the shock and sadness that surrounds her death.In a tribute shared online, the swim club recalled Aisling’s positive impact on young members:“Aisling was a member of Marlins SC for many years and volunteered her time to help assist with the junior squads.
