Worth County man already facing three other drug-related trials indicted on federal drug charges

first_imgCEDAR RAPIDS — A Worth County man already accused of other crimes has now been charged with multiple federal crimes. 28-year-old Armondo Grays was indicted by a federal grand jury in Cedar Rapids on charges of possession of firearms by a felon, three counts of distribution of heroin, possession with the intent to deliver heroin and ecstasy, and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The US Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa’s office says between October 29th of last year and July 1st of this year, Grays possessed five firearms despite a previous felony conviction for burglary in Polk County, sold heroin on three different occasions, and possessed heroin and ecstasy with the intent to sell on one occasion. Grays is awaiting three separate state trials in Cerro Gordo and Worth counties dealing with drug possession.last_img
