The completion of this work in a relatively short timeframe has enabled us to bring the new water into production and lift the Do Not Drink notice.“We would like to thank the people of Rathkeale, local businesses and elected representatives for their patience and support while this work was carried out, and acknowledge the inconvenience they experienced as a result of this issue. I would also like to pay tribute to all the staff who worked tirelessly over the past two weeks to resolve this issue.”Works will continue at the Kilcolman Pumphouse site over the coming weeks to bring the new source into full production and complete all the other associated works on site. Initial testing indicates that this is a very good source of water which should provide the people of Rathkeale and surrounding areas with a safe, secure and reliable water supply now and into the future.
